White House unfollowed PM Modi & President on Twitter

The latest and interesting news, PM Narendra Modi, PMO, President Ram Nath Kovind, the US Embassy in New Delhi, and the Indian Embassy in Washington has been unfollowed by the White House on Twitter.

Three weeks before Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), and President Ram Nath Kovind were followed by the White House on Twitter but recently the all of them have been removed by the official Twitter handle of the White House. 

The official residence of the President of the USA, White house has followed PM Modi, his office (PMO), and President Ram Nath Kovind on April 10. 

It reported that all Twitter handles which were followed were Indian, including President of India (@rashtrapatibhvn), the Prime Minister’s Office (@PMO), PM Modi’s personal Twitter handle and the Indian embassy in Washington DC (@IndianEmbassyUS).

Along with all this, the White House has also unfollowed the US Embassy in New Delhi and the Indian Embassy in Washington. 

While PM Modi and President Donald Trump always have a warm relation, but Trump’s recent comment on the ban on the export of hydroxychloroquine had sparked a major controversy.

But, now everything is okay, as India agreed to export the medicine, and later Trump thanks Modi for his decision to export the anti-malarial drug, which is widely used to treat Covid-19 patients. The ban on the export of this drug partially lifted still some restrictions are there. 

On April 8, Trump tweet that this gesture will not be forgotten.

“Extraordinary times require even closer cooperation between friends. Thank you, India, and the Indian people for the decision on HCQ. It Will not be forgotten! Thank you Prime Minister @NarendraModi for your strong leadership in helping not just India, but humanity, in this fight!”
